DOT Physical for Commercial License
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) requires proof of a special medical exam known as a DOT Physical for commercial driver’s license (CDL) applicants.
What happens in the DOT Physical Exams?
You’ll fill out the Medical Examination Report form. The medical examiner will go over this form and ask additional questions. The examiner will perform a comprehensive physical exam. The physical exam will cover a variety of categories. You’ll also take some basic tests including: blood pressure measurement, vision check, hearing test, and urinalysis.
